Fermanagh Gold Introduction

You have entered the Genealogy section of this web site.  This site has grown out of a project developed by subscribers of the Fermanagh Rootsweb Mail List.  Subscribers submitted a "millennium present", the results can be seen on the project website Fermanagh Presents

Information is gradually being added to the site to help the researcher locate resources for Fermanagh. General information of this kind will be linked from this page.  The Resources section will grow as more contributions are added to the site. A very useful resource for all researchers will be the Place Finder search HERE with over 5,000 place names in Fermanagh.

Research Help includes advice and background information about family history research in Fermanagh and Ireland. The database of records however can only be accessed by becoming a Fermanagh Friend. The Genealogy Services section currently includes information about John Cunningham's Graveyard Memorial Photographic Service.

The searchable records on this site have been contributed by, amongst others, readers of the Fermanagh mail lists.  Whilst the records are available for all to search, you will be asked to join Fermanagh Friends the first time you visit the site. By doing so, you will be able to receive an email update when new records have been added to the site.

Click HERE to see how to register to view all the records on Fermanagh Gold and  you will soon be searching the records. Once you have subscribed you will be able to return to the site at any time and continue your searches.

Useful sites for your genealogy research are listed HERE.  You may also submit the address of a site you would like to see included on the Links page.
